About the Tour

Bogotá (Colombia) and Antofagasta (Chile) will be the main stops during this first edition of the NSPs in Latin America Meeting.
The objective of this event is to create a meeting point between the emerging Latin American experiences and the accumulated knowledge after more than 40 years creating NPSs in the center of Europe.

Who will participate?

IOB - International Organization for Bathing Waters
The International Organization for Natural Bathing Water (IOB) was founded in 2009 to make the idea of ​​baths with fully biological water purification better known worldwide. It is an association that currently unites 14 national associations into an internationally active umbrella organization. 

​The IOB now has members in 23 countries around the world and currently represents around 600 individuals and companies who primarily deal with the planning and construction of pools with biological water treatment.

Polyplan - Germany
Polyplan GmbH, founded in 1990, is an engineering company for energy and environmental technology. Kreikenbaum is a landscape architecture firm that has been active for over 30 years and is dedicated to urban planning, landscape planning, as well as open space and object planning tasks.

Bioantu - Chile
BIOANTU is a company that designs and executes sustainable water systems in Chile since 2009.

Its main focus is to be a real response to the problem of water scarcity, and the efficient management of this resource, for which its solutions are tangible and of quality, applicable to different territories, needs and budgets.

They offer Water Engineering projects, with an ecological and regenerative perspective of high socio-environmental impact.

Paissá - Colombia and Spain

​PAISSÁ is a cooperative that develops projects related to water and landscaping, sustainable water use, ecological sanitation and optimization of water resources.

Since 2011 we have been creating aquatic ecosystems to take care of water, applying the tools of Architecture and Landscaping.

​Stefan Meier, President of IOB

​Landscape architect, lives and works as a freelance landscape architect in Ibiza, where he runs a small GaLaBau operation, Naturaleza y Arte.
He has a second foothold in Genova, Italy. There he is involved in the sustainable building project Plain Green. Planning of swimming ponds and natural pools internationally.

Francisco Torres, CEO BIOANTU SPA

Originally from the northern lands of Chile, he began his passion for the beauty of our natural environment in the reddish desert.
After a long journey of more than a year, experiencing life in sustainable human settlements, he learned about Permaculture and decided to dedicate his life to ecological practices in the design of human settlements, with a special focus on their hydric environment. Today, after 11 years of experience in generating Nature-Based Solutions, he defines himself as a BIO-Generator of Spaces that contribute to perpetuating life.

​Petra Huge, Project Manager at POLYPLAN.

Petra is responsible for the planning of outdoor swimming pools with biological water treatment, especially design of water technology and planning and supervision of water treatment measures for urban waters and lakes. She is the contact person for the international Polyplan network.​

​Jairo Villegas, PAISSÁ

Founder and partner of the company Paissá, which is currently carrying out projects related to landscaping and biological water treatment in Colombia and Spain.
Architect (UniAndes Colombia), Master in Architecture (UNAM-Mexico) and Specialist in Sustainable Architecture (UPC-Barcelona).
